Top 10 Best Wedding Venues in Ottawa & Eastern Ontario
Planning your wedding in Ottawa or Eastern Ontario and feeling overwhelmed by venue options? I’ve got you! There are so many beautiful options in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, but not every venue works the same once timelines, light, weather, and real-life logistics come into play. I’ve seen which venues truly shine, not just on Pinterest, but in real life, real light, and real moments.
I’m Kelsey, a wedding and elopement photographer based in Eastern Ontario. I have a documentary & loose editorial approach. I care deeply about beautiful light, intentional timelines, and choosing locations that allow couples to actually enjoy their day instead of rushing through it. This list is based on venues I love photographing, venues that photograph well, and venues that create an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
10.) Ottawa City Hall
Hear me out! Ottawa City Hall is often overlooked, but it’s one of my favourite options for elopements and micro weddings. The space itself is clean and modern, and once the ceremony is done, the city becomes your backdrop.
Downtown Ottawa is perfect for relaxed, romantic portraits while wandering nearby streets and landmarks. If you’re staying at the Chateau Laurier, we can stop back at your suite for a few quiet photos before heading out again. From there, celebrate with a late lunch or dinner in the ByWard Market. Lavender Lounge is a personal favourite and a great way to end the day.
This option is ideal for couples who want something intimate, low-pressure, and experience-focused.
9.) Perth Parkside Hotel
Located just one hour west of Ottawa, Perth is one of the most charming historic towns in Eastern Ontario. Think old limestone buildings, beautiful heritage architecture, and quiet streets that feel timeless.
Park Side Inn offers bright, airy suites with massive windows, which means incredible natural light for getting ready photos. Right behind the hotel is Stewart Park, complete with willow trees, arched bridges, and a peaceful pond. It’s the perfect setting for bridal portraits and an intimate outdoor ceremony.
Everything is walkable, which makes this venue especially great for relaxed timelines and stress-free weddings.
8.) Hardy Park
About one hour south of Ottawa, Brockville is another historic gem with no shortage of limestone architecture and waterfront views. Hardy Park sits directly along the Saint Lawrence River and the Brockville Boardwalk, offering stunning scenery in every direction.
Ceremonies under the gazebo are simple and elegant, and portraits can easily be done throughout the park, along the river, and in downtown Brockville. After photos, head to The Mill for a delicious dinner to wrap up your celebration.
This location is perfect for couples who love water views, small-town charm, and a laid-back wedding day flow.
7.) Chateau Mille Fleur
Located about one hour southwest of Ottawa, Chateau Mills is for couples who love something a little quirky and unexpected. This venue has personality in spades.
There are farm animals on site for guests to interact with, and a vintage traveller’s caravan that’s been converted into a two-sided bar. Ceremonies take place in a small forest clearing, while receptions happen under a clear dome tent that lets the light pour in.
Bonus: Merrickville is only ten minutes away and offers some of the most beautiful portrait locations in the region, with historic buildings and scenic canals.
6.) Adelina Barn
Just 30 minutes north of Ottawa in Gatineau Quebec, Adelina Barn feels like stepping into a storybook. The winding dirt road leading to the venue instantly sets the tone, surrounded by lush gardens and rolling fields.
There’s a stunning weeping willow on site, and one of my favourite features is the Juliet balcony atop the barn loft. You can sneak a peek at your guests as they’re seated below in the garden for your ceremony.
This venue is ideal for couples who want a romantic countryside feel without traveling too far from the city.

5.) RMC Senior Staff Mess
About two hours from Ottawa, the Senior Officer’s Mess in Kingston is an absolute dream for winter weddings. The vibe is rich, warm, and elegant, like a classy cigar lounge turned wedding venue.
The main lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, creating a stunning ceremony space that’s completely protected from the elements. The food here is excellent, and the sunsets over the water are truly something special.
If you’re planning a cold-weather wedding and want cozy luxury, this venue is a standout.

4.) Lavender Ridge Farm
Lavender Ridge Farm is one of the newer venues on this list, and it’s a beautiful blank canvas. The cedar barn reception space is warm and inviting, while still allowing you to fully customize the decor and style.
There’s a separate, air-conditioned bridal suite newly built on the property, perfect for final touches before the ceremony. You can exchange vows near the apple tree or walk a little further down the driveway to the breathtaking lavender fields.
Golden hour here is unreal. The surrounding fields glow at sunset, making portraits absolutely magical.

3.) Frontenac Club
Another Kingston favourite, the Frontenac Club is perfect for elopements and micro weddings. This historic hotel offers luxury without feeling stuffy.
The Cartwright Suite features floor-to-ceiling arched windows, and the bathroom alone is worth mentioning for its incredible natural light. Located right downtown, you’re steps away from endless portrait locations, including City Hall, limestone buildings, and the Saint Lawrence River.
After photos, head back to the hotel for an extra dirty martini and dinner at The Bank Lounge. It doesn’t get much better than that

2.) Le Belvédère
Le Belvédère is a classic for a reason. Located about 40 minutes north of Ottawa in Wakefield, Quebec, this venue offers views that are unmatched anywhere else in the region.
Perched on the side of a cliff, your ceremony and portraits will overlook the rolling Gatineau Hills as far as the eye can see. There’s an on-site bridal suite, plus an Airbnb just down the driveway for the guys, making logistics incredibly easy.
This all-inclusive venue truly has everything you could want for a seamless and breathtaking wedding day.
1.) The Meadows
While technically located in Prince Edward County, The Meadows is absolutely worth the drive. Just north of Belleville, this venue is one of the most romantic and whimsical ceremony locations I’ve ever photographed.
Guests walk along a boardwalk through a densely treed forest and emerge into a magical clearing straight out of a fairytale. After your forest ceremony, portraits can take place in rolling fields or immaculate gardens.
Your first dance can happen outside under the pavilion before moving indoors for a family-style catered dinner. There’s a large bridal suite on site for getting ready, while your partner can use the loft of the modern barn reception space or stay at the newly renovated Ashley Motel just seven minutes away.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels intentional, romantic, and completely unforgettable, this venue tops the list.
