Mother’s Day Mini Sessions at Hall’s Apple Orchard
This year’s Mother’s Day mini sessions were held at one of my favourite springtime locations—Hall’s Apple Orchard in Brockville, Ontario. The timing couldn’t have been better. The trees were covered in soft white apple blossoms, and the golden hour light made everything glow with that perfect, dreamy warmth.
There’s something really special about photographing mothers with their children—whether it’s a new mom soaking in the early days of motherhood or a family with grown kids sharing quiet, familiar laughs. These sessions were full of those in-between moments I love capturing: hand squeezes, soft smiles, kids running through the orchard rows, and the occasional hug that turned into a giggle.
The blossoms made a beautiful, natural backdrop without needing much else. The soft whites and fresh greens added a light, airy feeling to the photos, and the golden evening light gave everything a warm, nostalgic touch. Even with the short session times, each family brought their own energy and connection, which made for such a meaningful series of images.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made this year’s mini sessions so memorable. It was a joy to witness and capture so many beautiful moments between mothers and their loved ones.
